Thomas "Danny" Boston, PhD, President
Dr. Thomas “Danny” Boston is an economist, President of ExZella, and Professor Emeritus of Economics and International Affairs at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). He received a PhD in economics from Cornell University. Danny served as past president of the National Economic Association, senior economist to the Joint Economic Committee of Congress, and contributor to CNN. He has written or edited six books, numerous scholarly articles, and research reports for major organizations, including the MacArthur Foundation, Kauffman Foundation, Casey Foundation, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, US Small Business Administration, and state Departments of Transportation. Danny is a former captain in the U.S. Army and recipient of the Purple Heart. Other distinguished awards include Entrepreneur of the Year by the Atlanta Business League, Professor of the Year at Georgia Tech, State of Georgia Economics Educator of the Year, and the Ivan Allen College Legacy Award. A passionate collector of African American art and art supporter, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia.
Catherine L Ross, PhD, Vice President
Dr. Catherine L. Ross is a worldwide leader in transportation and city planning. She is an Emeritus Professor of City and Regional Planning and Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Along with serving as Vice President of ExZe Transportation Research Boardlla, Catherine is a Health Effects Institute board member and serves on an advisory board to the U.S. Secretary of Transportation. She received a PhD in City Planning from Cornell University and was designated a Regents Professor at Georgia Tech- the highest academic attainment in the University System of Georgia. Other distinctions include the National Academy of Sciences Research Board, the President of the National Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning, the Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences, and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority Executive Director. Her book Megaregions: Planning for Global Competitiveness influences the policy and planning paradigm domestically and internationally. She regularly speaks to groups worldwide, from Beijing to New York, and has published editorials in the Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and many other popular media.
